A claim the Government's latest transport budget needs to be more generous. 

$24 billion will be distributed over the next three years to various transport projects up and down the country.  

Auckland will get more than $7 billion dollars for several projects. 

There are concerns the South Island's Waitaki district hasn't been given enough.  

The area has no public busses and very few cycleways. 

Mayor Gary Kircher told Mike Hosking the latest announcement is underwhelming. 

"The reality is, it's only a wee bit more than we were going to get. So, we're happier, but we're still not happy."
