Topcut Firewood owner Don George talks to Mike Hosking about heating issues during Winter, and how a fall off in demand for firewood is affecting the supply.
Firewood suppliers in many parts of the country are restricting wood sales to locals as shortages bite.
A wet season means there's little dry wood available.
Owner of Topcut Firewood in Timaru, Don George says [tells Mike Hosking] last year his two and a half thousand metres of wood sold out in just seven weeks.

Don George says the best time to buy wood is between August and December.
