Review objectives include developing a more sustainable and resilient sector, while supporting better pay, conditions and improved career pathways.
Film Commission Chief Executive David Strong told Mike Hosking they need to be competitive.
“The fact is that our screens are saturated with Netflix, Disney, Amazon. International production quality is going higher, it’s a very competitive world out there, we need to see our stories seen in New Zealand and around the world, we need to make better stories.”
