David Seymour's End of Life Choice Bill is back in the parliamentary spotlight.
MPs were debating part two of the Bill yesterday, addressing issues such as conscientious objection, mental competency and deferral of timing.
The bill now confirms that the patient must be the one to first suggest assisted dying.Â
Two doctors must then agree that the patient is informed and the criteria to request assisted dying are met.
The ACT Party leader joined Mike Hosking this morning to give us an update on how the Bill is faring and what the chances are it gets given the green light.
