Confusion in the ACT Party's direction has lead to ideas over a rebranding.
Leader David Seymour this weekend announced a new private members bill, one which he acknowledges is one adopted from New Zealand First.
The bill around reducing the number of MPs is hoped to provide a better direction for where the party wants to go in the future.
The announcement came at the ACT Party Conference, where it was also suggested the party needs a news name.Â
Seymour says they haven't been clear enough in the party's brand.
"Different times, the party that wants to let prisoners out early if they learn to read, but also the party of three strikes and that has led to some confusion and I understand that, and we've got to get our ship ship-shape."
