It first aired nearly two decades ago, but Twin Peaks' is still as popular as ever.

The surreal murder mystery is regarded as one of the greatest TV shows of all time, and has garnered a cult-like since it premiered in 1990.

Last year, it returned in a star-studded revival consisting of most of the original cast.

Now, cast and crew are heading to our shores to take part in a series of fan events here and in Australia. 

Dana Ashbrook, who played Bobby Briggs, is amongst them.

He told Mike Hosking that being part of the phenomenon has been one of the best roles of his life.

They talked about how he became involved in the show, how it has affected his life, and what he thought of the strange, eclectic series when he first read the script.
