All Blacks great Dan Carter is now in Japan playing for the Kobo Steelers, and is an ambassador for the 2019 World Cup to be hosted by the country.
He is also an ambassador for the new travel company Tripadeal, which is launching in New Zealand today.
Carter told Mike Yardley that Japan has seen a resurgence of interest in recent years, with many games attracting large crowds.
“There is a lot of hype in Rugby here in Japan ahead of the World Cup, it has been a great experience. It is easier on your body physically compared to NZ, but it is so fast."
