The inclusions of Ish Sodhi and Tom Blundell are set to be the major talking points when the Black Caps reveal their Cricket World Cup squad tomorrow morning.
The New Zealand Herald understands that the pair have won their respective races to book their trip to the United Kingdom in May, with their names to be read out at 11.00am tomorrow at the Black Caps' squad announcement in Christchurch.
Former Blackcap and Sky commentator Craig Cumming told Mike Hosking he doesn't have the Blackaps making the top four in the tournament.
"Australia really concern me. They are a good side which is only getting better. India, England, Pakistan and South Africa are all slightly ahead of us.
Cumming is also unsure whether the middle order can perform under pressure, having let down the side in recent times.
"We have guys like Neesham, Santner and de Grandhomme who lack experience and have only managed to win us the odd game.
"The Blackcaps only have the one wicketkeeper in the ODI side which is Tom Blundell, and he hasn't had much experience either. But the thing with World Cups is that anything can happen, it only takes the odd upset during the opening stages to change everything."
