The Education Minister says his NCEA review is travelling far and wide to hear from principals all around the country.
A group of 40, mostly high school principals, took out full page ads in the Sunday newspapers giving Minister Chris Hipkins' review a fail grade, complaining about a lack of consultation with them.
Hipkins told Mike Hoskings the opinions actually go both ways - there are people who think the review doesn't go far enough, and people that think it goes too far.
He says the results of the review are wide open and they're listening to everyone.
"I'm trying very hard to make this not a political issue. We consulted with the opposition, I hope we involve them even more. We owe this to the future generations to get this right, to take our time and do it properly."
