European countries have begun easing their lockdown rules as the continent looks to bounce back from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Spanish cities Madrid and Barcelona have reopened parks, restaurants in Athens are taking orders again and Copenhagen has opened museum doors to the public.

French correspondent Catherine Field told Mike Hosking different countries are at different stages.

She says German states are slowly opening up, but if infectious rates go up, they will lock up again.

Elsewhere, she says Ireland announced no new virus deaths for the fist time since late March, while Italy posted only 92 deaths, their lowest since early March.
