There are hopes New Zealand's housing market will bounce back from COVID-19.
More than 5,000 house sales are currently in limbo.
Harcourts New Zealand managing director Bryan Thomsen told Mike Hosking he's optimistic the market will be resilient.
"You would have to be optimistic that New Zealand fared well and we're going to come out of the back end of this in a better situation than perhaps some of the other countries."
He says some people are using technology to complete sales or to make offers during the lockdown.
"People don't buy real estate on a whim. They buy a house because it suits their family and their situation and that doesn't change when you get a major shock like this."
