Customs says record high methamphetamine seizures aren't the only drug busts worth celebrating.
In the year to date, police and customs have seized nearly fifteen-hundred kilograms of the Class-A drug.
Authorities are putting it down to the hard work of multiple agencies, rather than an increase in the drug making its way to New Zealand.
Customs investigations manager Bruce Berry told Mike Hosking the figures don't include 200 kilograms of pseudoephedrine seized, a precursor to meth.
Berry says there are lawyers and accountants here that embezzle funds, to enable the growing drug market.
