A new Kiwi company is hoping to tackle the labour shortage.Â
An app has been designed called Wofo. What it does is connect contractors to people looking for work so you don't need to go through hiring agencies or anything like that.
It has only been around for only a couple of months, but already 400 contractors have signed up to it to find workers.
Co-founder Andrew Wills told Mike Hosking it took two years to build the "game-changing" app.Â
"Anyone can list themselves and their services, skills, qualifications and the rate they think they are worth, and when a company needs them, they can book them on the spot."
He says it saves people having to apply for jobs constantly.
Wills says that they are getting good feedback from the various industries they are working with.Â
"The only one we haven't had good feedback from is a recruitment agency."
