A new survey has found that the majority of us are keen to embrace technology despite our blase attitude towards digital security.

Trend Micro Incorporated carried out the survey which found that 77 per cent of us are on board with technologies like smart homes. However, it also revealed that we are largely unbothered about protecting our privacy.

"Probably one of the most amazing statistics that we saw was that most people believe that they only have between one to five connected devices in their home, when in reality...the average Kiwi has around 29 connected devices," said Micro Trend's senior director Tim Falinski.
