One of National's most senior MPs is backing Simon Bridges to continue at the helm.

A report hass outed Jami-Lee Ross as the party's leaker, but Ross is now accusing Bridges of illegal activity and of forcing him to take medical leave to shut him up.

National's Judith Collins told Andrew Dickens she is sticking by her party leader.

"If someone thinks they have some evidence, they should put up or shut up."
