UK police are investigating the country's Post Office after hundreds of postmasters were wrongfully accused of stealing. 

The Met is now involved after it turned out a faulty computer system was to blame. 

Between 1999 and 2015, more than 700 branch managers were accused of theft because computers wrongly showed that money had gone missing. 

Correspondent Rod Liddle told Tim Dower that the Post Office has done everything it can to avoid examining itself.
