An Australian-based Kiwi epidemiologist has outlined how many daily Omicron cases we're likely to see.
Melbourne University epidemiologist Tony Blakely says we'll probably see up to 150 thousand infections a day.
But he told Heather du Plessis-Allan with Omicron many infections are asymptomatic.
“So, you might see something like 20–35 thousand reported cases per day, at your peak, if your surveillance system can withhold and stand up to PCR queues being overloaded and that sort of thing.”
