The Prime Minister has all but put an official date on a freedom day for Auckland.

All Auckland DHBs have hit 90 per cent for first dose vaccinations and are expected to move into the new traffic light system on November 29.

The region will move to Level 3.2 on Tuesday night, which will see retail open up and gatherings increase to 25.

Jacinda Ardern will visit Auckland for the first time since the start of the lockdown on Wednesday.

The Christchurch mosque shooter has said he pleaded guilty under duress.

RNZ reported that he is considering appealing his life sentence, saying through his lawyer he suffered 'inhumane and degrading' treatment in remand.
