The Huddle: Climate change survey, schools returning, MIQ

One in five New Zealanders don’t believe in human-created climate change in a survey by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority.

It also found four in 10 people believe they could do more to help cut emissions.

Students in Years 11 to 13 in Level 3 areas are allowed to go back to school from next Tuesday.

Chris Hipkins made the announcement during Wednesday's press conference as senior school students prepare for their end of year exams.

Hipkins also said there is no requirement for students to be vaccinated, but provisions will be made to make sure students have the accessibility to vaccinations.

Meanwhile, the MIQ system has come under some criticism.

With more Kiwis isolating for Covid at home and vaccinated people entering the country having to go through MIQ, it doesn’t bode well for the upcoming review by the Ombudsman.
