A man who admitted being part of a group that attacked mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Fau Vake on the streets of Auckland in May, has been sentenced to six months of home detention after pleading guilty to two representative charges of assault with intent to injure.
Dan Hooker friend and teammate of Fau Vake from the City Kickboxing and called the sentence an absolute joke when he was outside the courtroom. But Auckland defence lawyer Steve Cullen says “it’s a very complex process.”
