The world's longest flight has begun its maiden flight.
The Singapore Airlines plane will take almost 19 hours to travel about 17,000 kilometres between Singapore and New York.
Airline Weekly editor Seth Kaplan told Larry Williams they have not had the finances to offer the service before now.
"If this route were to work, we shouldn't be surprised to see more similar offerings in the future."
