A ban on travel from India will only be partially lifted from next Thursday.
New Zealand permanent residents in countries where Covid-19 is running rife won't be allowed to fly directly home.
Those in India, Brazil, Pakistan and Papa New Guinea will need to stay in another country for 14-days before heading here.
Only Kiwi citizens and their parents, partners and kids are excluded from the new rule.
