Do you care where your child's school uniform has come from and whether it's been sustainably made?

Local clothing maker Little Yellow Bird is moving into the school uniform market, where it wants to be a major disruptor.

They say children especially shouldn’t be wearing clothing and uniforms that are likely to have been made by children in sweatshops in overseas countries.

Founder Samantha Jones told Heather du Plessis-Allan says she does not want kids to be wearing clothes made in third world countries. 

She says some parents are definitely aware of the ethical issues, but more are becoming conscious. 

"The baby market for organic, ethically produced clothing has increased hugely over the last few years."
