The Queensland Government have admitted they wrongly diagnosed Nathan Turner, who died initially due to Covid-19.

Turner, 30, had been named as Australia's youngest ever coronavirus victim when he died on May 26.

His body was found in his home by his fiance Simone Devon. He could not be revived and was declared deceased at the scene. He had underlying health conditions and flu like symptoms.

Australian correspondent Murray Olds told Heather du Plessis-Allan says Turner's diagnosis was a mystery when it was first announced.

"Mr Turner hadn't left his hometown of Blackwater since early February. He'd been off work with a number of other medical complaints, he did have a bunch of underlying medical problems, and it's understood he's died from a combination of these."

Australia's official Covid-19 death toll is back to 102.

Meanwhile, beauty parlours, nail salons and waxing establishments are reopening across Australia, while gyms and yoga studios are set to open in mid-June.
