Qantas passengers who flew from Sydney to Wellington last night were diverted to Christchurch at the last minute.

This was due to Wellington Airport's curfew, where international flights can't land between 1 am and 6 am.

The passengers were left to spend the night in the Christchurch Airport terminal and were given a $15 food voucher.
