Claims New Zealand's two major supermarket companies have unfair control over the market.  

The Commerce Commission's threatened to force Countdown and New World operator Foodstuffs to sell some of its stores.  

A small food retailer says the companies control the food wholesale network - giving them power of the country's food supply.  

Night 'n Day's General Manager says Countdown prioritised supplying its stores when Delta broke out.  

Matt Lane told Heather du Plessis-Allan he had to battle to get stock for his own stores. 

“It’s fundamental for any business to have security of their supply channels, especially when their supply is coming through competitors.”
