There are just 16 days until we head to the polls, and Genesis Energy CEO Marc England has told his shareholders that more deep debate is needed on energy policy - be that issues like electric vehicles, Tiwai Point, or Lake Onslow.
He told Heather du Plessis-Allan that the level of discussion needed is systems level thinking.Â
"The challenge we have in New Zealand is we have a wonderful, renewable electrical system and we keep talking about 100 percent electricity system, but we're not talking enough about what electricity can do for the rest of the energy sector to decarbonise the country."
