For the first time in a few years, Crusaders fans are having to adjust to a losing streak.
After an amazing start to Super Rugby Aotearoa, the wheels have started to come off in the later rounds of the competition.
The crusaders have now lost two of their last three matches, and the win was that narrow golden point victory over the Hurricanes.
It’s just about the first bad patch head coach Scott Robertson has ever hit in his career.
Former All Blacks coach Laurie Mains told Heather du Plessis-Allan this is a really important time in his coaching career.
"He has tended to coach teams that are really strong in their players, and he's got a few injuries at the moment in critical positions that have taken away some of the special strengths the Crusaders have."
He says Robertson now needs to develop a strategy to overcome those losses.
Mains says that he has no choice but to get through a bad patch, which all top coaches have gone through.Â
"You learn strategies and the right way to overcome it."Â
