An abuse in care victim is surprised at changes made to the Royal Commission into abuse in state care.

The Commission has been granted an extra five months to complete its work - after asking for an extra two and a half years.

But the government has also removed the need for the Commission to look at modern-day care policy settings.

Keith Wiffin told Heather du Plessis-Allan it came out of the blue

"On the face of it, it seems to have been done with very little or no consultation and so that's a great concern to me."
