Orion Health chief executive's unhappy with the Ministry of Health's procurement process for a new software system to manage vaccines, including the Covid-19 programme.
Ian McCrae's laid a complain with the Auditor-General and the Ombudsman after $38 million was allocated to a consortium of companies, including Salesforce and Amazon.
They've been asked to create a new vaccine management system, which would replace the one created by Orion.
McCrae told Heather du Plessis-Allan that's a scandalous figure and they could've done it for much cheaper.
"We would've quoted $50,00 to configure the current system, and then we would have had $1-2 million of extra functionality, and we would've been totally live today."
