Labour MP Grant Robertson joins Heather du Plessis-Allan to talk about the latest strike promised by teachers.
NZEI and PPTA members will take joint strike action on May 29th.
Primary principals have also voted in favour of the strike.
It will be the largest ever industrial action by New Zealand teachers, covering almost 50 thousand members across the two unions.
Robertson says they agree the teacher's need more, and feel as though they are offering a good pay rise.
However, Robertson adds there are other things in education, housing and health they need to cater for as well.
