Plenty of positivity surrounds the possibility of New Zealand heading down to alert level one, which would ease on current lockdown and social distancing laws.
New Zealand has recorded 11 consecutive days of zero Covid-19 cases, with one active case remaining.
But Finance Minister Grant Robertson told Heather du Plessis-Allan even just one case between now and Monday could stop New Zealand going down to level one.
"We'd take advice on that from the health experts that have been advising us.
"The kinds of cases that we've seen where obviously it's someone overseas they've gone into quarantine, we all know what's happening there, that wouldn't fit that category.
"But that's the advice we would need to wait and get from the experts."
Minister Robertson admits it is a high bar to set, but everything has been and is going in the right direction.
"We are now in a really good position, and if we continue on the path we're on then next Monday we'll be able to make a positive decision."
