Some schools are preparing for a number of students to repeat their final year due to the disruptions cause by Covid-19.
James Cook High School in Manurewa is expecting to welcome back a quarter of their 167 Year 13 students.
Principal Grant McMillan told Heather Du Plessis-Allan they are working out the logistics of what exactly a Year 14 class might look like.
"We're planning on up to a term for some students and maybe a half year or semester for others before they do a mid-year enrolment in their tertiary course."Â
He says that every year some students come back and polish off a few subjects.Â
McMillan notes none of the returning students have failed and that Covid is not their fault - it is just about what path they are on.
