England has begun heading back to its daily activities, moving to a sense of normal post the Covid-19 pandemic.

Lockdown rules have eased allowing groups of six people to meet in public.

Primary schools have returned with mixed attendances so far. Some schools have remained closed.

UK correspondent Enda Brady told Heather du Plessis-Allan many social distancing measures remain, particularly for school kids.

"Three class groups only - reception, first class and sixth class with lots of social distancing measures, no sharing of pens, paper, crayons."

Mr Brady says no school in the country reported a 100 per cent attendance rate.

He added the first sport to return in England is horse racing, which people have been relatively excited for.

The latest Government figures show 39,045 people in the United Kingdom have died from the virus. In the last day an additional 445 people have died.
