Former Christchurch City Councillor Deon Swiggs maintains his behaviour wasn't inappropriate.

He was investigated after five youths complained of inappropriate messages and being made to feel uncomfortable.

But, after Swiggs lost his council seat, CEO Dawn Baxendale confirmed investigations wouldn't continue.

In an exclusive interview, Deon Swiggs told Heather du Plessis-Allan his re-election campaign was sabotaged - and the process was flawed and unfair.

“I really want to clear my name, if I was able to cross examine these people or even a conservation with them, I think we could get to a place where we all learn.”
