Waka Kotahi could find themselves in court after ruling out allocating a vehicle lane on the Auckland Harbour Bridge for cycles and pedestrians.
Get Across Campaign chair Christine Rose told Heather du Plessis-Allan she wants to take judicial action based on the Government telling the agency to do something which they haven't done.
Rose says in the Government Policy Statement Waka Kotahi are required to give effect to policy that addresses climate change.
“And they also have to be mode neutral, and that means putting walking and cycling on an equal playing field and considering equally with motorised transport.”
