Police are tracing the movements of a missing British backpacker through CCTV.

Grace Millane has now been missing for nearly one week, and her family say it is completely out of character

The 22-year-old was travelling solo through the country, and staying in an Auckland hostel.

Newstalk ZB reporter Chelsea Daniels attended the Police press conference and told Larry Williams the longer it carries on without any sightings, the more worrying it is.

"The Father is due to arrive in New Zealand to aid with Police efforts, which should be a big help as he knows more about Grace and her personality."

Over twenty police officers are on the lookout for Grace, with Detective Inspector Scott Beard saying they have hit a dead end, with her last confirmed sighting at about 7:15 on Saturday night near SkyCity.

"At the time of the last confirmed sighting, she was wearing a black dress with white Converse shoes."

According to Police, Grace was was due to leave New Zealand in about two weeks.
