Australian cricketer Tim Paine has called time on his career for the foreseeable future. 

He released a statement on his decision through Cricket Tasmania earlier today, coming a week after resigning from the test captaincy after a sexting scandal.

Meanwhile, fast-bowler Pat Cummins is set to become Australia’s 47th test captain, while former captain Steve Smith has been named vice-captain.
