Australia appears pretty confident the trans Tasman bubble will stay afloat after today's positive Covid-19 border worker case.

It's a person who cleans planes from high-risk countries at Auckland Airport.

They'd received both Pfizer shots, which provides 95 per cent immunity.

ABC political editor Andrew Probyn told Heather du Plessis-Allan officials have been making it clear there's bubble plans to manage any potential spread of the virus.

He thinks both countries realise it's quite possible there might be a situation where flights are suspended.
