A survey by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority shows one in five New Zealanders don't believe in climate change.
It's also found only four in 10 people believe they could do more to help cut emissions.
CEO Andrew Caseley told Andrew Dickens the four in five Kiwis who do believe, is a good number to work from.
“It shows that we have a base of recognition about the issue, and then it’s convincing people about what they can do to help address the issue.”
