An unsuspecting customer used a Hamilton ATM surrounded with unexploded pipe bombs this morning.
Police are still hunting two people spotted on CCTV placing seven bombs about the ANZ ATM at Chartwell Shopping Centre about 2.30am.
One detonated, another partially exploded and five were later removed intact by the Defence Force.
Area commander Inspector Andrea McBeth says there was minimal damage from the exploded bomb.
"The ATM machine itself was used by a member of the public before we've been called to the scene."
It is not believed that the bombs are capable of widespread damage.Â
People are being asked to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity as Police look for the two suspect.
McBeth told they're concerned about anyone using explosives to carry out crime.
"We are actually asking members of the public if they are seeing anything suspicious in areas such as ATM machines or banks to call us immediately, so we can go and make a proper assessment of what's going on."
