National Party leader Simon Bridges joins Kate Hawkesby to talk about the latest claims around records showing New Zealand First collected nearly half a million dollars in donations, which appear to have been kept secret.
Deputy Prime Minister and New Zealand First leader Winston Peters insists his party are in the clear, but electoral law specialists are questioning the legality of the party's foundation.
Bridges says this doesn't just affect Peters and his party, but goes "to the heart of government".
"New Zealand First clearly props up the Government, so whether she [Jacinda Ardern] standing him down or not she doesn't get to wash her hands of it, she just can't.
"The Prime Minster needs to lead what happens and ensure actually that more is happening."
