A large number of Kiwis are seeking financial advice as the Covid-19 pandemic has sent markets spiralling.
Financial adviser Martin Hawes told Kate Hawkesby says people are concerned about their KiwiSaver, and his services are in hot demand.
"In 30 years of doing this, I've never known a time when people were so thirsty for financial advice."
He says that KiwiSaver has changed the game, as it has made everyone an investor
"There are now 3 million people who have KiwiSaver accounts, and they are effectively investors, so they've got an interest in what's happening in the economy and what's happening on the markets."
Hawes says people find they're less risk-averse than they thought when they set up their KiwiSaver.
