New Zealand's trade relationship with Taiwan is growing stronger.
Six firms from Taiwan are here this week as part of a trade delegation, and plan to meet New Zealand buyers today.
Martin Allison of Craigs Investment Partners told Rachel Smalley New Zealand doesn't maintain specific diplomatic relations with Taiwan, but both countries are in APEC and the World Trade Organisation.
He said Taiwan is an important source of imports, tourism and investment, and it's a two-way trade.
"Total exports to Taiwan are now in excess of a billion dollars - top exports being milk powder and frozen beef."
