Political parties are quickly running out of time to change their fortunes for next week's election.
The latest 1 News Colmar Brunton poll, released last night, shows Labour on 47 percent, National on 32 percent, and Act on eight percent.
The Greens are just above the threshold on six percent, and New Zealand First are well below on two percent.
Political commentator Josie Pagani told Tim Dower due to high rates of early voting, it may already be too late to change the final outcome on the day.
"Half a million of us have already voted, mostly in an election you get around 2 million people voting at the most, so a lot of us have already gone to the polls."
