The first real test for New Zealand at the netball World Cup tonight will determine their semi final seedings.
A win against Australia in Liverpool will secure a last four meeting most probably against South Africa, with England the likely opponent for tonight's loser.
One News Sports reporter Jenny May Clarkson told Kate Hawkesby this will be the team's first real test after playing lowly ranked seedings.
"All they want to do is get out on centre court and test themselves against the best team in the world. It will be another close match-up."
Silver Ferns captain Laura Langman says her players need to rise to the task.
She says the Diamonds are getting plenty of ball so they'll need to work on their ball retention.
Centre pass is at 9:30pm.
