Scott Morrison has got to go – according to our Post Primary Teachers’ Association.

The PPTA has published a letter that it wrote to the Australian Prime Minister, calling on his government to acknowledge the so-called climate emergency, which it says has contributed to the recent devastating bushfires.

The union has drawn criticism for interfering in Australian politics.

PPTA president Jack Boyle told Kate Hawkesby that they have been writing letters to organisations and nations for the last four years, to put pressure on them to change course.

He says that they are international trade union, and that sustainable development is one of their goals.

"That is directly referring to climate change as one of the key goals."

Boyle says that they are able to look at international issues as well as local matters.
