Greenpeace is calling on the New Zealand Super Fund to divest from oil and gas companies.
The environmental organisation says the fund has a stake in roughly 130 companies around the world.
Climate campaigner Amanda Larsson says such investment is counterproductive, and we shouldn't be bankrolling industries that threaten our future.
The Super Fund has more than 550-million dollars worth of shares in oil and gas companies.
