Parents grieving the loss of their unborn baby may soon be entitled to official bereavement leave.
Currently, legislation for bereavement leave includes the death of a child, but not specifically an unborn child.
Labour list MP Ginny Anderson's Bill aims to rectify that, after she heard of stories of women who were forced to take annual leave or even work through their miscarriages.
She told Tim Dower it would cover both parents, for any stage of pregnancy.
"You still have the idea in your mind, as a woman, that you will be having a baby and then it's gone, so I think both mums and dads need that time to adjust."
