Britain's next prime minister will face a mutiny from members of his own party as soon as he takes office.

Either Boris Johnson or Jeremy Hunt will be named Tory leader on July the 23rd.

However, UK correspondent Gavin Grey told Kate Hawkesby a group of Tory MPs have agreed to support a vote of no confidence in whoever takes over.

"What this all builds up in is some dissatisfied Government Tory rebels who dislike the prospect of a no-deal Brexit."

A no-deal Brexit would see the United Kingdom leave the European Union without a 'divorce deal' to sort out such issues as trade, immigration and the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland.

At least a "dozen or so" MPs could back the move, defence minister Tobias Ellwood told the BBC, amid growing concerns around frontrunner Johnson, who has been firm that he intends to leave the EU by the current October 31st deadline.

Grey says that a no confidence vote could force a general election.

"The Government's majority is so slim that if they were to vote with the Opposition, it could be one very short-lived prime ministership."
